Last evening I went out after digging our car out of the 13-1/2” of snow we had just gotten. The snow had become very dense and wet from the sun yesterday. I was not going to miss this concert. And I wasn’t disappointed. The roads were not only completely snow free, they were also dry. And, contrary to the boilerplate on the ticket, which claimed any form of photography or recording was “strictly prohibited,” the head of the concert venue said that “photos and videos are fine,” when he was on stage. I had respectfully left my Zoom H1n miniature recorder at home! So, I used up almost the rest of my phone battery recording videos. I talked with staff, and they told me this concert series permits recording because there is no licensing involved. So, next concert, in May, I will bring my recorder. Part of the fun is seeing the sorts of movements the players perform as they sort of dance in place. So, I’ll see if it makes sense to plug the Zoom H1n into the port on my iPhone 8, and use it as a better-quality, stereo, microphone for making videos.
Without further ado, here is the concert!
