I’ve been listening to this little community jazz station since it began over five years ago. It’s a jazz station with a wide variety of genres represented in its programming. It is listener supported, and its management and staff perform community services such as organizing concert series and broadcasting them live. I love sending emails to them to tell them what I like about tracks they play, podcasts they provide, giving shout-outs to their on-air hosts for shows I love, and other reasons I forget right now. Plus, if you donate, you get some cool swag. I got a couple pairs of their custom Jazz 93.5 FM socks!
I want to recommend their streaming service. In this time of high availability of all kinds of streaming services that include a wide selection of radio stations all over the world, I want to give a shout out to Jazz 93.5 FM for providing around-the-clock curated music. That’s right, even their overnights are curated by their on-air hosts. The streaming quality is good—I’m listening to it right now on my home stereo. You can stream directly from the link on their website, https://www.jazz935.org, and there are apps of iOS and Android that also allow you to stream their sister station, the long-running listener-supported classical music station, 88.7 FM KCME (https://www.kcme.org), which has its own iOS and Android streaming apps, as well as streaming from the website. The KCME apps allow switching over to the Jazz 93.5 FM stream.

Thank you! I just discovered your sub stack while perusing through Notes and chats. My husband is a musician and route all the music to my show. I will be visiting you often! 🥳🤗
